One brown onion sliced
2 large carrots sliced
2 stalks of celery
1 tin tomatoes
1 cup red wine
1 tablespoon Marsala (or very sweet liquor)
1 tablespoon smoky paprika
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon cumin
2 cloves garlic
oil and plain flour for browning
1Coat the beef cheeks in flour and brown
2Add the onions carrots, celery and garlic to the pan and cook until caramelized.
3Place in the slow cooker with wine, herbs and tomatoes.
4Cook for 8 hours on auto ( 2 hours high 6 hours low)
