  1. Another winner in our home. I like to par boil my sausages and I also stir through steamed greens just before serving it on a bed of mashed potato

  2. I made this last night, only differences i did was par boiled the sausages, used condensed tomato soup, skipped the curry powder as i had none and added beef stock, wostichire sauce and bbq. Was super yummy 🙂

  4. I was a bit skeptical about this one, something about the ingredients just didn’t click with me, but I was glad I gave it a try! My family enjoyed it a lot and there were no leftovers, so that’s always a good sign! We served with rice and some extra steamed veggies.

  5. We love this. Have made it a few times now. I just throw whole sausages in the slow cooker from raw and it’s awesome?

  6. My son absolutely loves this dish and every so often will ask if I can cook it up. Very similar to devilled sausages which we thoroughly enjoy, so always a big hit in the house. Nice and easy to make as well.

  7. So glad I made this! It was absolutely devoured by my two little fusbots (1 and 3 yr old) which is pretty much a miracle in our house lol
I parboiled my sausages, removed their skins and diced before adding it to the slow cooker. Also added a generous amount of frozen veg to make a complete meal when served over rice.
Easy meal and happy family…definitely a winning recipe ?

  8. Well that was a hit! My 7 year old son high fived me after he finished eating it! Absolutely delicious

  9. Really good! I’m not a big Sausage fan but kept going back for more. Even ate leftovers for breakfast (which I NEVER do). 3 of 4 kids ate and enjoyed!

  10. OMG! Saw these today when looking for a sausage recipe but thought…hmm I don’t have 6 hours. So when I got home from work I par cooked the sausages and threw everything else in. Cooked for 2.5 hours on high with tea towelunder the lid. Perfect! Served over cheesy polenta! Next time I’ll try the full length of time as I think the sauce will have better flavour cooked longer. Although I couldn’t really fault mine tonight! Thank you. X

  11. This is an old recipe, Ive made a few times now, my 3 fussy eaters lick their plates everytime I make it!!! I also double the recipe so I can freeze the leftovers for another meal/lazy night!!! I serve with mash potatoes & side veges ?

  12. Really tasty and very enjoyable and it tastes good with mash potato and vegetables and i will diffentley cook it again

  13. Tried this recipe for the first time on Saturday. Used mini meatballs instead of the sausages. Found I didn’t have any mustard powder so substituted some ready made mustard. Also added some crushed garlic – just because I like it. All turned out beautifully. Will definitely use again. Happy hubby means happy me.

  14. Tried this recipe for the first time recently. Instead of using sausages, I used the mini meatballs I had in the fridge. However found there was no mustard powder in the cupboard, so substituted ready made. Just because I love garlic that went in as well. The end dish was absolutely delicious. Happy hubby.

  15. I made this last night. What a winner. Added some beans and heaps of extra vegetables and some pasta at the end to cook in the juices. So delicious. Happy family. 1 pack of snags will be 2 dinners.

  16. I made this with left over sausages last time and found the sauce so delicious that I made it tonight with dice beef and threw in some sliced mushrooms in the last half hour or so. Other than substituting the meat and adding mushrooms the recipe stays the same…Served with mash,, broccoli ,beans and sugar snap peas it was pure heaven…. (just threw in the beef, didn’t pre brown as I normally do)

  17. Just yum……made this with left over bbq sausages. Love the sauce so much I tried it tonight with diced beef and added mushrooms in the last half hour or so. Will definitely be on our dining table again soon! I didn’t seal the beef, just put in the SC with everything else. !served with Mash,Briicoli,Beans and sugar snap peas …..YUM!

  18. A delicious meal. Didn’t have mustard powder so used mustard and it worked out beautifully. Thanks for another amazing recipe.

  19. I added peas & corn to the dish & served it up with mashed potatoes & other steamed veggies. Love this dish & it’s even better as leftovers. 🙂

    Husband’s comments about this dinner:
-Smelt great when I walked in.
    – Just delicious
    – Best sausages ever

Not one of my favourites – it was too sweet for me so I may try it again without the brown sugar. The sausages are a little too devilled for my liking but that’s exactly why the rest of the fam liked it. I might substitute for meatballs as some have suggested above.

Just put this on to cook for dinner……sausages =deep down sausages to me……probably the best sausage recipe I have ever cooked in my 79 years! An all time favourite in this household of two oldies! Yum is all I can say.
