Tim Tam Rocky Road
What could possible make Rocky Road better?? .... Tim Tams!!
Serving: 10
Ingredients
- 2x blocks of milk chocolate (400g total)
- 1x packet of tim tams 200g (Chocolate biscuits coated in thin layer of choc)
- 1x packet of red frogs 190g (or you can use Turkish delight, raspberries, glazed cherries ect)
- 1x packet of marshmallows 280g
- Hand full of chopped peanuts
Instructions
- Put your Slow cooker on high and melt down your chocolate with the lid off.
- (Mine took around 20mins as I had heated the slow cooker before I added chocolate)
- While you are waiting for the chocolate to melt, cut your marshmallows in half and roughly cut up your tim tams ( I just broke the into pieces with my hands)
- Once chocolate is completely melted I turned the SC off so it was still hot but not going to melt the stuff I am adding in next.
- Add everything else into the slow cooker and mix together well.
- Scoop mixture out of some cooker onto a lined tray and into fridge to set.
- I used a slice tray roughly 20 X 30cm and lined with baking paper.
- Leave to set in the fridge for a 1-2hours and then cut and enjoy! 🙂
- This was 2 different recipes I had found on google that I changed around a bit and made something different 🙂

Sooo yummy def hit with kids and family
Is that 2 blocks of milk chocolate totaling 400g?
Yes that’s how I would read it 🙂
I read that as 2 lots of chocolate at 400 each, as it says x
A standard block of chocolate is 200g
Not 400g
But I’m happy to ask the person who created the recipe to clarify if you think I have it wrong 🙂
Nicole has now confirmed in her own comment that it is in fact 400g TOTAL chocolate as I expected 🙂
Just clarifying with everyone that it’s 400g of chocolate in total – sorry should have the 400g in brackets ??
What a creative person, loved it. I didn’t add peanuts but it was yum ?
Made this today for friends. It was fantastic – really easy but very yummy.
Needless to say there was none left ?
Should alter the receipe so it shows as 2x blocks of milk chocolate 200g,
else you would descripe it as;
400g milk chocolate
200g tim tams
etc.
As it is now, it’s confusing more i think…
It is 400g of chocolate Sienna 🙂
Just like you read it
Soooo simple and amazing! Highly recommend!
Sweet & Easy, simple as 1.2.3 ?
Makes an awesome gift. for kids
Everyone loves it. So Easy.
Also tried substituting TimTams w other choc bars (Mars Bars work well) and it’s great.
I leave the nuts out if it’s going to school and it is still great. So many easy variations. Thanks for the recipe
So easy to make and tastes amazing. I’ll be making up a big batch next week ??
Yummiest and easiest rocky road I have ever eaten. Fabulous Recipe Nicole!!!!
Wow, made it this arvo and had some for deserts, big hit with my wife. I was a little worried that 400g of chocolate was not enough as it didn’t look like much in the SC, but trusted the recipe and it worked a treat. Thank you.
I made this last week and it’s gone already. It’s an awesome easy recipe would highly recommend it. Will definitely be making some more.
This recipe is awesome! The addition of tim tams is genius! Super easy and a real crowd pleaser 🙂 I prefer to use turkish delight instead of red frogs as I found the frogs too hard and chewy.
Made this the other week and had heaps so took some into work and it was gone within an hour I just kept hearing the container lid open about every 3 seconds ?everyone raved about it ? well done fab recipe ??
What size tray does this recipe fit into please? Lamington size etc
Any size you prefer, it will just make the rocky road thinner or thicker 🙂
This is the best! Loved the crunch of the Tim Tams. I’m going to try other biscuits next time and some clinkers.
This is one of the only items I can say I have cooked well in the slow cooker. If I can do it.. anyone can. So tasty (fattening) but tasty. A great dessert to share.. tastes as good as store bought rocky road, and the Tim Tams make it more special.
Do the Tim Tams melt ?
No they are added after melting 🙂
What peanuts are good to use please
Ohhhhhh my gosh!!! This was my 1st time making this yesterday n it was soooooooo easy n ohhhhh soooooooo delicious ? I used mini marshmallows from the cake section in Woolies, anything that saves chopping lol ? now I’ll have to hide it haha ? will def be making this again, thank you for sharing your delicious, easy TIM TAM ROCKY ROAD with us Nicole ??
Omg so easy and so yummy ???
Do you cut up the frogs or raspberries? Can i add clinkers
Yes I’d cut them smaller .. and yes you could add clinkers
I made this for father’s day presents. Absolutely fabulous. Failed to read ‘lined’ tray. lol. It worked out in the end. I may consider a third block of chocolate next time. 🙂
Loved this recipe! So easy!!
I used pistachios instead of peanuts as that’s all I had
Wow I must say I love this recipe so easy to make and taste yummo highly recommend everyone should try this they won’t be disappointed ???
I was hoping to make this for Christmas presents, but will need multiple batches. What would be the most you could multiply the recipe by in one batch? Has anyone tried this? I have a large slow cooker. Also, anyone know how far ahead you can make it so it still looks and tastes great? Thanks in advance!
It would keep in the fridge for a week or so and still stay nice but as close as you want to gift it is ideal 🙂
I can’t see why you couldn’t do mutliples 🙂
I was wondering if anyone has multiplied this recipe and if so how many times? I want to make a big batch, I have plenty of trays and a large slow cooker. Thanks!
Omg Nicole Hansen your rocky road recipe that I have made quite a few times now is an absolute crowd pleaser ?? Everybody loves it ? The last time I made this I added a tin of sweetened condensed milk to transform this into the most incredibly tasting fudge ???? Highly recommend you try this one too!
We made this the other week and it was by far the best RR I’ve ever had. We chopped the marshmallows and frogs into smaller pieces and used 2 x 300g blocks of chocolate but overall the same.
I also add 1/2 cup of shredded coconut, and substitute peanuts for slivered almonds. I have doubled the mixture for gift giving , cut into logs and packed in cellophane bags.
Substitute nuts altogether and add chopped clinkers.
Made into a wreath shape and decorate with drizzled white chocolate, spearmint leaves and red ripe raspberries lollies looks fabulous.
very easy using SC to melt chocolate. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of that before. I used packets of Snowballs marshmallow ( you know, the ones with chocolate and coconut on them?) they are nicer marshmallow and I cut them in quarters.
This is so easy to make. I used snakes, bananas, Tim tams, sprinkled in some coconut and then added this to the melded chocolate,
Omg delicious ?
As it’s only hubby and I in the household, it only took us three days to eat the lot ?
Big ? thumbs up
I have made this a few times now. I use Raspberries and shredded Coconut also. For a change I sometimes use caramilk chocolate which is my husbands favourite! My family ask for this all the time. So easy and I recommend it to everyone!
Such a yummy recipe and one to do easily with the kiddos. I made it in to little patty pans for COVID safe snacks for my work colleagues too
This was such a wonderful recipe. Everyone who shared it, loved it! Sadly it only lasted a short time! Thanks for the reminder time to make it again. ??
Absolutely amazing so simple quick and oh so tasty
Absolutely delicious ? super easy to make
yummmmo
