These were yummy i used heinz chucky chicken soup and added more meatballs yum and plenty to freeze.
All I can say is wow!!! This recipe is simply delicious ?? Thank you for sharing it with us Joanne Pinnock, it is a real winner in our house ? I doubled the sauce ingredients as I was cooking 1kg of pork meatballs and used onion and garlic powders instead of salts. I also stirred through 300mls of sour cream before serving on fettuccine with crusty bread rolls ?????
This dish was delicious! It was a hit with the whole family. Even my fussy 6 year old loved it.
I don’t have hp sauce, anything substitute? Or does it make a difference
I buy HP at Woolworths or Coles but if you don’t have those >> >>> 1 tbsp A1 Sauce (original)
OR> 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce.
Love this one, it’s one of my family’s favourite. And so easy to make.
I can’t get the Beef Stock Pots, what else can I use, Stock or stock powder? How much?
Just use a strong mix of stock 🙂 eg 1Tsp dry is what I’d add
Game changer, love this and so does the hubby. I omitted the garlic salt and all spice for one small garlic clove grated, wasnt sure what a beef stock pot was so just used a beef stock cube. Will definitely be a continuous recipe used in our household.
Cooked these meatballs tonight only had a packet of 20 beef meatballs, cooked on low 4 1/2 hours, had no HP sauce so used Rosella 333 Bbq rib sauce. Instead. The meal was delicious, we had boiled potato, cauliflower, broccoli & carrots, also added about 15 button mushrooms ro the dish.
Is the sour cream needed ? I want to make this but I don’t have any sour cream
Or is there a substitute I could use ( not cream )
You could leave it out if the creaminess isn’t important for you 🙂
Ooooh…this is delicious! My family were very impressed with this offering. A great food jar option as well, my daughter has taken some today.
Sauce in this dish was heavenly!
Unable to source the beef stock pot so substituted with vegetable flavour. Tempted to lick the bowl clean instead used nice slice of buttered crusty bread.
I used store bought meatballs x40 in total.
