Flaky, pastry covered seafood sticks
Serving: 8
Ingredients
- 2 sheets of puff pastry (marked out into quarters)
- 8 seafood sticks
- 1 egg whisked
Instructions
- Lay out each sheet of puff pastry on bench and cut into quarters using a sharp knife
- On each quarter, lay down one seafood stick diagonally across the corner of each square
- Roll the seafood stick up in the square to form the pastry covered seafood stick and pinch both ends of each parcel closed tight
- Pierce along top of each parcel with fork 2-3 times
- Brush with whisked egg wash
- Place in slow cooker that has been lightly sprayed with non stick oil spray (or on a sheet of non stick baking paper)
- Cover with teatowel (Tea Towel Trick) and cook on HIGH for 1hr 15mins
- I turned the sticks over at 30mins and 60 mins, brushing the side I'm about to place down onto slow cooker with the egg wash each time I turned.
- Enjoy hot 🙂

Do the seafood sticks need to be defrosted or fresh, i am doing mine frozen, hope they turn out ok
I have them defrosted 🙂
Love this recipe as I can’t cook in oil these are so good turns out crispy everytime
If you were to cut in half to do small ones would cooking time be the same? Also could it all be done in one batch? Thank you
I’d keep time the same to still cook the pastry. As many fit spaced out in single layer, you can’t stack them
