  1. Omg. This was so good. I added a little extra garlic powder ( i love garlic). Everyone loved it, even the veggie hating grandchild. I will definitely be making this again ?

Can you add potatoes and broccoli with this? And how would you adjust the recipe to suit the potatoes?

  3. Hi Paulene, if I’m doubling the recipe in my large slow cooker would I need to cook more than 2 hours ?
    Regards Sharon

    1. Hi Sharon, sorry I only just noticed this question now after we discussed it on the group this morning. Since you did it 3hrs and it wasn’t quite done I’d suggest others add that hour then check it each 15mins after that x

  4. what is teatowel trick. is that where the teatowel is placed under the lid of the slow cooker???

  5. Made this for myself and my husband and it was an absolutely hit. Absolutely delicious and full of flavour. Will definitely be making it again and again

A really delicious side dish. I made with cauliflower and broccoli. Will be a regular side dish in my house ?

    1. It’s a cream that doesn’t split during cooking, it resists heat. Do you have one like that? I believe the UK folk say it’s like crème fraiche but I’m not certain. If using regular cream I suggest adding 1-2 tsp of cornflour to it before adding as this helps resist splitting also 🙂

  7. I made this one for the first time and it will not be my last, what a great way to have Cauliflower..
We have a camping trip planned and this will be on the menu when we are at Takaraka camping ground on our powered site (taking the 2 pot SC with us)
If you like Cauliflower, you will definitely enjoy this recipe…!

  8. I love making this, it’s so easy and the whole family loves it. Sometimes I do half broccoli and half cauliflower and it’s just as delicious.

  9. Could you double all the ingredients and make this as a main meal not a side dish
And if so, would it need to cook for longer?

  10. I cooked this for Easter lunch, without bacon as I had none as added broccoli. OMG! Best bake I’ve ever done. So yummy and massive win with the family

I don’t really like cauliflower but omg this was delicious.
I used full cauliflower and broccoli head and one zucchini, keeping the same amount of liquid.
Yum yum yum, hubby said he could eat this everyday.

I found this recipe about 6 weeks ago and it is delicious, I have made it every week since. One time I didn’t have any cooking cream so I used cheese sauce and it was still great
