Tried this recipe?Let us know how it was!
Super quick, super tasty, easy meal for the family on an unseasonably warm April day. All 4 who ate it would definitely eat it again.
Can I use two jars of sauce when I have four chicken Kiev.
You can yes if you wish 🙂
Loved this! Cheap as, easy as. Def will be on the family dinner rotation!
What is the tea towel trick please
Tea Towel Trick
Can I ask a stupid question?? Does the garlic butter still ooze out when you cut into these after cooking for 4 hours?? Or does it come out in the cooking process and become part of the sauce?? My hubby loves the ooze lol.
hahaha I totally get what you mean Brooke 🙂 Some comes out a little and some stays if that makes sense 🙂
I tried this for the first time the other night the whole family loved it, even my fussy children. My father in law was over for dinner too and raved about how nice it was. Thanks Paulene another one to add to our list of favourites 😋
Hubby literally scraped the leftovers from the bowl and ate it directly from the slow cooker!
A hit with him and 3 out of the 4 kids!
This is the easiest slow cooker meal, YOU’LL EVER MAKE! I used a jar of carbonara sauce from Aldi, crumbed chicken Kiev’s from Woolworths, Bacon, & grated mixed cheese on the top. I popped the cheese on about 10 mins before I turned the slow cooker off. Absolutely delicious
This is also nice using a tomato based sauce.
Do you use the crumbed frozen ones from the supermarket or fresh from the butcher??
I use fresh ones from butcher or deli. Frozen ones are fine just defrost first 🙂
Hi! Would I need to cook for as long if I am going to use only 1 jar and 2 keivs?
The time would still be similar to safely cook through the kiev – maybe only a smidge shorter if anything
Trying this tonight but i forgot the bacon😓, also when recipes are put online can we put what size slow cooker was used. This could go along with cooking time and how many it serves ( just a suggestion)
Making this tonight… has anyone done it with bow tie pasta? Thoughts?
Do you mean as in serving it with pasta??
Beautiful! Tried the Kiev Carbonara tonight, another hit with the family! Followed the recipe and directions exactly. Plates were licked clean and it was requested again for next week!
Made this for dinner had it with mash and vegetables. Was a huge hit with our family will be a regular meal for us
Easy & Simple dish very tasty
So so easy and so so yummy. Also works out very cheap when my butcher has fresh Kiev’s on special, 4 for $10.
Will be making this again for sure!
This is one of our favourites! So quick and easy and very yummy! 😋 I’m going to make it again this week and as I have a spare leek I’m going to slice that and add it! I’ll let you know how that goes!!
Can anyone advise weather I need to cook the bacon first? Just concerned about mixing raw chicken and bacon together
No need to cook it first Stephanie 🙂
Can you freeze if you cook 4 and only eat 1
My slow cooker searing one so I cant do the teatowel trick. Will it matter??
A searing one can still use the tea towel?
Do you mean maybe a multi cooker instead of an actual slow cooker?
