Honey/Mustard Shredded Chicken
Serving: 2
Ingredients
- 3 chicken breasts
- 1 and 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce (or 1 cup mustard and 1/4 cup honey)
- 5 medium sized mushrooms (optional)
- 1 onion
- little bit of dry parsley or fresh
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- few slices of cut bacon
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire (optional)
- 1/3 cup vegetable broth / stock
- Cornflour +water
Instructions
- Fry bacon, mushrooms and garlic in a fry pan and set aside
- Add chicken breasts to slow cooker, no browning needed
- Pour over honey mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and vegetable broth
- Add sliced onion, sprinkle with parsley
- Cook for 3 hours 50 minutes on low
- When 30 minutes is left of cooking time, take chicken out and shred it then put back in sauce add mushrooms, bacon and garlic and stir
- Cook last 10-15 minutes turn on high and add cornflour/water mix and cook with lid off until sauce thickens
