The cornflour within the yogurt should stop from splitting. I stir every hour or so also to prevent this.
It's not that spicy, but very authentic 🙂

  • Yields: 4 adults with left overs

Ingredients

1kg beef

1oinion

4 potatoes cut to chunks

1 tblspn garlic

1 tblspn ginger

1 heaped tbsp homemade Fijian 5 spice (see below to make your own)

2 tspn Garam masala

Good spash of soy sauce

Juice of a lime

Cup of natural yogurt mixed with a tblspn of cornflour

Frozen Beans

Fijian 5 spice mix (equal parts, best quality)

seeds of cumin

brown mustard

fenugreek

Nigella

fennel

ground up with a tad of cinnamon

Directions

1Such a simple, easy and full of flavour dish.

2Mix all of the ingredients together and marinade over night. This is a must to penetrate the meat with full flavour.

3Pop all in slow cooker and cook for 6-8hrs on low

4Serve with basmati rice
