Hickory BBQ Chicken
Super easy and great to self serve at a party!
Serving: 6
Ingredients
- 1kg chicken thigh fillets
- 250ml bottle of Hickory BBQ Sauce
Instructions
- Place chicken fillets into slow cooker whole
- Pour over sauce
- Cook on low for approx 4hrs
- Pull apart/shred meat with two forks (this will then soak up all the excess liquid)
- Serve on rolls with salad and cheese for easy burgers 🙂
Notes
- Flavours can be changed easily by changing the sauce you use
- You can use Marinade sauces also
- eg Satay, BBQ Plum, Honey Soy etc
- Also great for self serve at a party directly from the slow cooker onto the rolls by guests

Made this for my daughter and I. We both loved it. My daughter had leftovers of it on sandwiches and wraps for her school lunches and her friends wanted it. Easy and delicious thanks for this recipe.
I made this on the weekend for lunch and it was really easy and really yummy…. even my 2 year old said yum!
The easiest, cheapest, yummiest chicken!! Taste great the next day too. I will be making this again & again! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
Like omg this is yummy only put it on a roll nothing else
I just tried this recipe and we all loved it. I couldn’t get Hickory BBQ sauce so just used a Smokey BBQ marinade and ate it on brioche buns with lettuce, cheese, tomato and cucumber. Thanks for the recipe, it was great!
