Fijian Beef Curry
The cornflour within the yogurt should stop from splitting. I stir every hour or so also to prevent this.
It's not that spicy, but very authentic :)

- 1kg beef
- 1onion
- 4 potatoes cut to chunks
- 1 tblspn garlic
- 1 tblspn ginger
- 1 heaped tbsp homemade Fijian 5 spice (see below to make your own)
- 2 tspn Garam masala
- Good spash of soy sauce
- Juice of a lime
- Cup of natural yogurt mixed with a tblspn of cornflour
- Frozen Beans
Fijian 5 spice mix (equal parts, best quality)
- seeds of cumin
- brown mustard
- fenugreek
- Nigella
- fennel
- ground up with a tad of cinnamon
Such a simple, easy and full of flavour dish.
Mix all of the ingredients together and marinade over night. This is a must to penetrate the meat with full flavour.
Pop all in slow cooker and cook for 6-8hrs on low
Serve with basmati rice
