Beef Chow Mein

500gm Beef Mince

1 Carrot Grated

1 Brown onion chopped

1 Bunch Bok Choy

150gm Bean Shoots

1 Cup of Green Beans

1 Tablespoon of Curry Powder

3 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce

1 Pkt Chicken Noodle Soup

2 Tablespoons Sugar

1/2 Cup White Rice

1/2 Chinese Cabbage

1-2 Litres Beef Stock


1Brown Mince in frypan with a little vegetable oil

2Add Curry Powder and Onion

3Place all in Slow Cooker

4Add 1 litre beef stock

5Add grated carrot, rice, chicken noodle soup

6And sugar

7Turn cooker to high and cook for 1.5 - 2 hours

8Once rice is cooked add shredded Cabbage, beans and Bok Choy sliced.

9Cook on high for another 30 minutes until cabbage and Bok Choy have softened.

10Add Bean Shoots and mix.

11Cook a further 10 minutes and serve

12serves 4 adults.


14Note: add more stock if and when needed
