BBQ and red wine meat pie
This versatile recipe makes a large pie and could also make a shepherds pie or pasties
Serving: 6
Ingredients
- 1-.1.5 kg blade stake
- 500g mince
- 3tbsp gravy mix
- 1 tin crushed tomatoes
- 1 tin kidney beans
- 2 carrots
- 1 large onion
- 1/4 cup HP sauce
- 1/2 cup bbq sauce
- 200-300ml red wine
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- Splash Worcestershire sauce
- Splash balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Dice blade steak, onions and carrots and add all ingrediants (except gravy) to slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 5hrs or low 8hrs.
- Add gravy mix for desired thickness
- Put in pastry and finish off in oven to brown puff pastry
