Raisin Bread and Butter Pudding

Ingredients
 

  • 12 slices of brioche bread
  • 40g packet of sultanas
  • 1 x 395g can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 4 eggs, whisked

Instructions
 

  • Cut each slice of bread into 9 cubes
  • Arrange all bread in bottom of 5L slow cooker
  • Scatter sultanas on top of bread
  • Combine all other ingredients and pour over bread and sultanas
  • Mix gently to coat
  • Cover with tea towel trick and cook on low for 1.5 approx or whenever egg mix has fully set around pudding
  • Serve with a creamy vanilla custard or ice cream

      Yes just reduced the bread slices if need be to what fits 🙂

    I don’t normally like bread and butter pudding but this one was really good

  3. nice simple recipe, i found it on the rich side definitely needs to be served with a good vanilla ice cream
