Slow cooked roast pork
Ingredients
- Boneless pork leg roast
- Potatoes
- Carrots
- Onion
- Apples
Instructions
- Place potatoes, carrots & onion on bottom of pot. Take pork and make slits in crackling. Slice apple and stuff slices into slits. Place pork on top of veggies. Cook on low setting for 8 hours.
- Take pork out when cooked and carefully take off crackling and place it on oven tray along with veg if you want them to crisp up a bit. They only need a few mins on a high setting.
- Your pork should fall apart with a fork. Serve with steamed veg & gravy. Enjoy!!

Tasted great, was a huge hit! Although once we put the skin into the oven for crackle it didn’t really work.
Should I leave this to cool before I slice it?
No I slow it hot myself 🙂
Going to try this tomorrow night for dinner just wondering if I took the skin/crackle off before putting the roast in the slow cooker and just put it in the oven half hour before roast is ready, would that work?

Can I do it on high for 4 hours??
It really needs a longer, slower cooking time for an ideal result 🙂
