Ingredients

3/4 cup plus 2 tbs white sugar

10 fresh plums sliced (approx. 4 cups)

2tbs cornflour

1/4tsp cinnamon

1 cup flour

1 1/2tsp baking powder

1/4 cup butter (50g)

1/4 cup milk

1 egg, lightly beaten

Directions

1In a large bowl, combine 3/4 cup sugar, plums, cornflour and cinnamon. Place fruit mix in slow cooker. I used a 3.5 litre slow cooker.

3In a medium bowl, combine the remaining 2tbs sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Cut the butter in with a fork or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Stir in the milk and egg until just moistened.

5Drop batter on the fruit. I used a dessert spoon and randomly plonked spoonful's on top of the fruit.

7Cook on HIGH for approx. 90mins.

9Serve with custard, cream or ice cream.

Do I need to use a tea towel under the lid for this cobbler?

Made this tonight and was a hit served with custard was amazing and have left over for tomorrow
