Very yummy. However, i didn’t use any pumpkin. Still turn out lovely. Good use of sausages taking up space in the freezer.
Next time though, i might put in some more potato to make up for not using pumpkin 🙂
Yummy!
I didn’t use pumpkin so next time i make this i’ll put in more potato to make up. I also didn’t cook it for a further hour after i put the cheese on. I left it for maybe 15 mins while the cheese melted. Still came out nice. 🙂
All time favorite sausage recipe. We come back to this all the time especially during the colder months!
What I loved about this recipe is that it is super easy and very tasty. Par boiled my sausages. Instead of pumpkin I used sliced carrots, also added some chili flakes to the cream, we like spice. Because was wanting a one pot meal, before adding the cheese I added some defrosted peas and corn
Love the taste and easy to make!?
Kids absolutely loved this recipe! So easy to make and with some steamed broccoli it’s a complete meal for fussy eaters
One of our family favourites. Delicious!
Absolutely fantastic. A new family favourite. Even mr fussy eater my 7 year old went back for seconds. Gunna be a regular in my house
hi whats all purpose seasoning ????
Masterfood bottle of seasoning
Can you use anything else other then cream?
Cooking this at the moment, smelling yummy, taste test to come.
We All loved this recipe. So easy and cheap to make. Super tasty, definitely a new staple in this house
My family all love this recipe. My 4 year old requests it weekly, this is her all time favourite slow cooker recipe. I used another user’s tip about adding a layer of defrosted peas and corn (2 cups worth) before the layer of cheese so had some veggies in it. It says 4-6 serves, I use 1kg of potatoes and it gives us (family of 2 adults, 2 young kids) 2 nights worth of dinner and one lunch for hubby. I’ve also accidentally used normal cooking cream rather than light and that works as well.
Question could you cook up sausages the night before and then put them in fridge and then put them in slow cooker next day?
I wouldn’t pre brown them that way
But you could cook them right through
Half cooking them wouldn’t be great for food safety but full cooking ok
I tired this the first time the other day. It was delicious the only difference I would do next time is slightly brown the sausages prior to putting it in the slow cooker 🙂
Tasty and easy really nice whole family enjoyed this dish.
Mine and my partners favourite slow cooker recipe. Also added some bacon to the sausages. Still very good without it though.
What is cooking cream do we have it in New Zealand
It’s a cream that resists splitting when heated. Check in the cold cream section (ours is Bulla brand) and in the long life shelf milk section (Carnation milk)
I love this recipe and do it regularly.
When do u add the pumpkin?
Layered with the potato if you choose to include them 🙂
My family love this but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. There always seems to be a lot of oil once it’s cooked.
Tammy you could use lean sausages with lower fat that helps 🙂

Great recipe, nice to come home to the lovely smell of tea already cooked, i used cheese and bacon sausages, turned out fab, will try it again 😀💞
Simple & delish. Added half cup vegetable stock 1.5hr left of cooking time for a little boost of flavour!
Can you do this without cream?
Made this for the first time last night. Mr fussy pants raved about it #win. Such an easy dish to make.
I’ll definitely be making it again definitely but will be adding either pumpkin or sweet potato next time to reduce the slightly salty taste.
Sweet potatoe instead of pumpkin is yum
Great recipe, cheap with a few simple ingredients and it’s yummy!
Hubby says “this is a winner”
I had no cream but used evaporative milk with four dollops of butter instead and added sweet potato too. Yum 😋
A real hit at my house! I didn’t bother pre cooking the sausages. Added a potato bake bacon mix through the cream and used leek instead of onion because that’s what I had. We will be having this regularly.
