Total Time 1 hour 50 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tbs white sugar
  • 10 fresh plums sliced (approx. 4 cups)
  • 2tbs cornflour
  • 1/4tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup butter (50g)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine 3/4 cup sugar, plums, cornflour and cinnamon. Place fruit mix in slow cooker. I used a 3.5 litre slow cooker.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the remaining 2tbs sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Cut the butter in with a fork or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Stir in the milk and egg until just moistened.
  • Drop batter on the fruit. I used a dessert spoon and randomly plonked spoonful's on top of the fruit.
  • Cook on HIGH for approx. 90mins.
  • Serve with custard, cream or ice cream.
  • ENJOY
