After having pear relish at one of our favourite restaurants we loved it so much we had to try and recreate it :)

Ingredients
3 Pears, peeled, cored and sliced
100mls Apple Cider
3/4 tspn Brown Mustard seeds
1/4 - 1/2 tblspn Currants
1/4 tspn Cinnamon
Directions
1Place pears in slow cooker bowl
2Sprinkle mustard seeds, currants and cinnamon over pears
3Pour cider over everything
4Cook for 6hrs on low (Woolworths 1.5L sc)
5Once pears have softened and dropped down into the liquid adjust slow cooker lid so it sits slightly ajar, continue cooking until liquid has reduced to a syrup
6Can be served with roast pork or my daughter likes it chilled over cream cheese with crackers
