Such a simple and delicious recipe!!!

Low as the recipe states 🙂
Do you use high or low heat?

You can skip the browning if you choose to. The flour at the start should thicken the end result already 🙂

Do you need to cook the meat and onions first or can you put straight in SC.Also do you have to thicken it at the end ?

This dish was sooooo nice. I ended up adding some broccoli as well. No more Chinese take out again EVER for me, not with these great recipes. My special needs adult son (who can’t even talk) loved it, he fed himself which is very rare. Thanks again Paulene for another great one. . 😋

Absolutely scrumptious recipe! Only adjustments were I used blade beef, added 2 diced carrots and upped the garlic to 1.5TBS of crushed garlic to the beef when browning. Highly recommend you try this recipe too! Thanks for this keeper Paulene Christie 😉

I tried this for the first time and stuck to the recipe. I liked it and found it very easy to make, but next time will use a different cut of beef (I used gravy beef) and also tweak it to my tastes. Maybe some soy sauce too, and/or sweet chilli sauce (which works really well with the kecap manis in the sweet soy chicken recipe). Thanks for the recipe Paulene.

I’d suggest longer cooking times for your cooker as Jess found that perfect
Or thinner slices of your beef to start with 🙂

Delicious!! Added brocolli with half hour to go, so good. Will definitely be making it again 👍👍👍👍

Loved this recipe too. Same as Jess above, I find my beef is abit chewy and that cooking it longer doesn’t always help. Any suggestions would be great! Thanku 😏

I made a very similar recipe a few weeks back, but instead of the sweet soy sauce (I didn’t have any), I added some sweet chilli sauce and brown sugar. It was terrific!

Do you recommended using something else if not using the garlic. Allergies to garlic.

Regular soy sauce is not the same. Sweet sauce is far less salty and is a thicker sweet sauce 🙂
Can we use normal soy sauce? Does it change taste too much? What can I add with?

Delicious recipe was still a little watery at the end added some cornflour but still a bit funny although the sauce went through the rice so it worked out well

After 3 hours on low the sauce was yummy but the meat was still chewy
(Maybe I didn’t brown the meat enough or my SC might not cook as hot as others). I kept it on low for another couple of hours and it was INCREDIBLE!!! Delicious sauce and the meat was falling apart. I will definitely be making this recipe again.
