Finally got a chance to try this intriguing recipe. Super easy and followed the recipe (no changes). The house smelt yum (but weird at the same time). I didn’t use the juices for gravy as it was a little overpowering with vegemite (plus I wasn’t sure how to do it). We LOVED the flavour of the chicken and it was moist and very delicious with a mild vegemite taste. Would definitely try again.

Such a quick and easy recipe to prepare before rushing off to work. My teenage children loved it. I have made it twice and is a family favourite.

  4. Wow I couldn’t go past this recipe using few ingredients!!! Our Roast chook was absolutely beautiful, so tender & juicy!! I made gravy with the left over juices, it was a little strong (cause of Vegemite) but it was still lovely!!! Served ours with roast vegetables, then bread & butter to mop up plates!! Will make again!! Fussy eaters said 8/10!!!!

  5. OMG! Made this tonight. I put some of the mixture under the skin and the rest over it and under it. I cooked the chickens on a bed of onions and then browned them in the oven at the end for 20mins. I used the complete juices in the slow cooker with corn flour and gravy powder on sear to make the yummiest gravy ever and served with roast veges and greens. The family raved about it, including the 3 1/2 yr old Grandson. Love love love it. Thank you so much.
