Roast Chicken with bacon, garlic and mushrooms - Canola, Dairy, Gluten, Lactose and Soy free, FODMAP freindly
Serving: 4
Ingredients
- Whole deboned chicken
- Whole button mushrooms (about 10)
- Chopped garlic cloves
- Bacon rashers
Instructions
- Whole deboned chicken sitting on whole button mushrooms (about 10) and chopped garlic cloves.
- Lay some bacon strips across the top
- (you could also include some spinach leavesif you like)
- No extraliquid was added becauseyou get liquid from the mushrooms and chicken.
- Cook for 5hrs on high
- NOTE: I have also done this with breast fillets, thigh fillets, tenderloins, etc
- Can be #lowFODMAP by omitting garlic

I haven’t tried this recipe but garlic is not FODMAP friendly so this recipe shouldn’t be in this category 🙁
If you read the Notes at the bottom of the recipe Sarah you will see it states “Can be #lowFODMAP by omitting garlic”.
I do this often for my nephew 🙂
Nor can Low Fodmap have mushrooms in it
Jan whilst they are high in mannitol and should be avoided during elimination phases they can be enjoyed once you have tested your tolerance levels, these can vary person to person.
Obviously if you can’t tolerate them then this recipe isn’t for you but others may have higher tolerance levels 🙂
