So little effort for such a yummy dish!! Following the recipe was simple and it turned out just like it was supposed to. I served it with some veggies and it made a great meal.
Full of eggy, potatoy, bacony goodness! Served with a side salad 🙂
Can you tell me please, What are potato gems?
They are like little round hashbrowns if that helps?
In the frozen chip section of supermarkets
Beautiful quiche…. Lovely and fluffy. I didn’t have any potato gems this time but used hash browns instead. Was so yummy !!!! Will definitely cook again..
Should potato gems be defrosted first?
No they are fine as is 🙂
Im cooking this right now. It has been on for over 2 and 1/2 hours and is still raw in the middle. It was ment for dinner but it looks like it will be for breakfast.
So little time for prep, which means more time for me.
Very simple to follow and quick, which meant more time for me. I served with mixed lettuce and tuna.
can you please add quantities for the gems, bacon and cheese?
Yumm! I’ve made this several times. You can also use hash browns instead of potato gems.
Made it first time tonight, mine was very cheesy. Was a big hit with the fussy children, will definitely be making this one again
Wonderful recipes cannot wait to make it again
Do you think this will work with the packets of frozen roast veges instead if the potato gems?
Do you have to put the tea towel under the lid?
Absolutely delicious -and so easy to put together.
I used 1/2 cup light cooking cream instead of milk, the result, a lovely smooth texture.
Would definitely make this again😊👍
I made one so delicious and I added everything I could. Family loved it. Might try BBQ chicken next time. Hash browns would work too if you don’t have gems
Will Definately make again and add some extra things!
Beautiful, but I added 2 diced onions, a tub of sliced mushrooms and 2 cubed Chicken fillets and 250 of cream. Thanks for the idea.
This was amazing !!! Would defiantly do it again
What are potatoe gems
Like little hash browns … called tater tots in US also
Absolutely delicious! Loved it
Was a great meal.
This was so easy to make and turned out perfectly!! I used a dozen eggs as my slow cooker is really big and just increased the other ingredients. The whole family loved it – including 4 little boys!
This was so nice hubby wants left overs for dinner
The whole family loved this, it is now on our weekly rotation as requested by the kids. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Made this tonight for the first time, was quick and easy. Myself, partner and 14 month old all loved it. Will be making it again that’s for sure ❤️
What are the quantities please? I’d like to make a big batch to feed 8 people
This is a huge hit in my house! I make it a few times a week & portion it out for my 3 boys to eat for brekky.
I struggle to get Master 12 to eat brekky, but if this is in the fridge he will happily scoff down breakfast!
What size slow cookers have been used? 😊
I believe most use 6L for this one 🙂
Was really yummy I made for the children’s lunches today
Easy to make and delicious too the smell through the house was devine, took little time to prep & highly recommend if you are looking for a slow cooker dinner to cook on a high setting & shorter cooking time
Amazing, my partner and I really enjoyed this quiche and intending to do it again next weekend again
This was my Husbands first attempt at making a slow cooker meal, It turned out great , was so yummy will definitely be making this many more times.
I used a bit of spinach on top of the bacon turn out nice
Nice, easy to follow recipe. Quick cooking time and tasted absolutely delish. I recommend this one !!
Is it an ok dish to freeze the portions afterwards?
This recipe was a great discovery—have made it several times and worked out well each time. Love it!!!
Great dish. Am sooo pleased I found this recipe—works a treat every time!!!
Absolutely delicious. Easy easy easy. I used double smoked hickory bacon and added a handful of diced mushrooms. Smells divine whilst cooking and is even better on toast the next day. 👍
Cooked this for dinner last night was absolutely delicious, hubby had it again for breakfast this morning said the best he’s ever had. Thankyou for an easy, so tasty recipe definitely on the menu rotation.😋
This recipe sounds great! I’d most likely use hash browns, would I need to defrost them in order to line the sc dish to shape the base of the quiche?
I add gems frozen but I imagine if hash browns are frozen then shaping them to fit bowl could be a challenge? But if they sit ok then leave frozen
What size slow cooker is this recipe used for please?
A 6L is standard but it can be done in a smaller one too like a 3.5 or 5L … just allowing extra time of course if you do so since it will be a thicker quiche to cook through Liz 🙂
Easy recipe with a delicious outcome.
Will be a regular in our house now.
Cooked this tonight
So easy and amazing
Not only does this taste amazing, I love the fact that it can be cooked in 2.5hrs. .. so if I’m ever time challenged it’s my go to meal. Leftovers great for next days lunch also.
Don’t know why I haven’t made this sooner???
Made some changes to the ingredients;
I used 2 spring onions (scallions)
Chopped up some sundried tomatoes
Crumbled about 100gr of feta cheese and used Smokey chipotle grated cheese
I decided on using 10 eggs as what I had were small and mixed in 1/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup cooking cream.
