Kickin Pasta Bolognaise
A spicy bolognese thats easy to vary to your tastes
Serving: 8
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg beef mince
- 2 bottles passata
- 1 x400g tin diced tomatoes
- 2 x 140g tubs tomato paste
- 2 cups liquid beef stock
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 mushrooms, chopped
- 5 red chillis, chopped and seeds in
- 3 small red onions, chopped
- 1 tblspn Worcestershire sauce
- 1 x 500g pack pasta of your choice - penne works well
- Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Brown mince and onion for 3 minutes then add beef stock
- Add garlic and mushroom and continue browning for 2 minutes
- Drain and place this mix in large slow cooker
- Combine all other ingredients except pasta in large mixing bowl
- Pour sauce over mix and stir to mix
- Cook 6-7 hours on low
- Add cooked pasta to slow cooker and stir through
- Cook for 15 minutes
- Serve with Parmesan cheese and hot crusty loaf
- Freezes brilliantly for leftovers
