Yum
Lovely side dish. Zesty mistard flavour & subtly sweet honey. I used my 3.5l Sunbeam SC for 3hr high (anout 700g) & finished them off by browning in oven for approx.15-20m. Delish!
Absolutely delist. Such a simple recipe but so tasty. Cooked this in my baby slow cooker and came out beautiful!
Quick and easy with great flavour. Gave it a quick browning in the oven to give it some crunch. Will def make again.
Easy to make aan so much flavour . Will make more often. Great dish..
Many Thanks for your Comments! I will def, be trying this dish!
was going to make this but haven’t any baking paper could I
use foil or a cake tin or something other than baking paper? tia
Some non stick spray may do it 🙂
This is a very nice dish, I added some carrots. Might have to give these a go cold for a summer salad?
Lovely, I baked in hot oven for the last half hour to crisp the potatoes.
Simply delicious potatoes!!! Easy, yummy and just a handful of ingredients needed ? These were o yummy, we will definitely make this a regular side to meals at our place ?☺ Perfect potatoes Paulene ????? I did cook mine for 3hrs because I used a slower slow cooker ?
I made these last night. Found I had to cook mine a bit longer, but wow. So nice, I will definitely be making these regularly!
I made these for 1st time awhile ago.
Yummy I must say.
I have also done them in oven because I craved them but was too late getting them ready for sc. Also turned out delish.
I love this. I made a few changes as I used four kestrel potatoes, I double the recipe (oil, honey and mustard) cooked on high for 4 to 5 hours
So yummy. I also added sweet potato slices and grilled a few sausages added them half way through. Served it with rice.
Really easy to make and very yummy. We serve with sausages or steak with steamed veggies
These are delicious, and are now a family favourite. We have also added bacon and onion.
Enjoyed this as a side dish & I added carrots too. My MIL commented how nice they were, so I will write the recipe down & show her how to do it for herself adding in a chicken breast to make a meal.
Tried these on Wednesday night and they were absolutely delicious and so very easy. Thanks Paulene. Xo
what things would you have with it… meat etc 🙂
Yes use it as you would any potato side dish 🙂
Firstly – why the baking paper ??? And secondly – not really sure on the flavour – it certainly is different ?? Will try again but may add bacon and maybe some zest next time ??
Baking paper is non stick baking paper you use to line oven trays, cake tins etc
I’m not usually keen on mustard (lol) but these were absolutely scrumptious. Will definitely be doing them again!
My family absolutely love this however I add the same amount of Dijon mustard to the mix. It’s worth a try.
Theses are very tasty and loved by all who have tasted them in my house
I like how you mention the make and size of slow cooker you’ve used
Chose this for our Christmas Day lunch and was yummo!! I added sweet potato and carrot with the potato. I also doubled the sauce ingredients as I wanted lots of the sauce. Roasted them off in the oven at end to crisp them.
Note…remember the sweet potato cooks quicker so add it part way through.
Love love love this recipe ? so simple and delicious ?
Do you need the tea towel under the lid for this recipe?
No, if it needs a tea towel I will always state that 🙂
I made these last night as a side dish for the steak pie. These are super simple to make and very tasty. We all enjoyed them. I placed them in the oven at the end to crisp up a little.
I dont have any wholegrain mustard could I use dijon mustard would that be ok
Sure it might just be a stronger taste is all 🙂
Love love love this recipe. So quick and easy.
We made this at Easter with our Roast Pork and it was extremely yummy. Made an already yummy roast even yummier.
Tried this tonight, used a mild American mustard (squeezy bottle) as it was all I had. Added about 3/4 teaspoon of curry powder to boost the mustard flavour. My other half enjoyed it so much he said I could make it again!
Great recipe for the family, definitely a new staple in our house.
How about cookig on low? If so for about how long?
I haven’t tested it to be sure but cook until tender and let us know how long that was for you 🙂 I’d guess 3-4hrs as a rough guide?
These are a hit at our place, so easy, i do a mix of sweet potatoes and carrots too ?
Delicious side dish! Using peeled baby red potatoes was definitely the way to go.
Another family favourite
Served as a side dish for pork steaks, served with peas.
I did 5 hours on low instead of 2 hours on high and added carrot, bacon and onion
Not sure the baking paper is needed to be honest
Just tried on Friday for 1st time and were a definite winner in this house!!! Definitely will be making these again- thanks!!!!
Absolutely scrumptious! The best.
Also baked them in the oven . Super yummy!
I Made this but used washed potatoes, I added carrots as well and quite a nice feed, it went well as a side with Nanny’s braised steak.
Made these today. They were very tasty and soooo easy to make….. Also served it with the Honey mustard silverside That was realllllllly good too. Next time I will add some carrots and cook them with the potatoes.
Super easy side dish that tastes great. Added carrots as well and cooked on low for 5 hours.
Hi
Have made this a few times and is always a hit with the family.
Quick question- if I double the recipe do I double the cooking time?
Thanks
It probably won’t need double, maybe an extra hour. Just keep an eye on it for the first time so you’ll know for future 🙂
