    4 hrs 40 mins

  • Yields: 5-6

12 thin sausages added raw & whole

3/4 cup apricot jam

3/4 cup bbq sauce

1/2 cup water

Optional: 1T cornflour mixed with water to thicken

1Add sausages to slow cooker (raw and whole)

2Combine other ingredients and pour over sausages

3Cook on low for 4.5hrs (then I easily slice sausages all together in pot with a plastic egg flip)

4Optional: If needed, thicken with cornflour slurry & cook additional half hour to thicken sauce OR add teatowel trick in last 2hrs to thicken

5Note: Served with “Honey Mustard Potatoes” recipe also on this website

I made this today with a few adaptations:

6 sausages (I used Angus beef and caramelised onion)
1/3 cup raspberry jam
(Rest of the sauce the same)

I added baby potatoes after an hour which I cut with the egg flip. With an hour to go I added diced capsicum (1/2 as that’s what was in the fridge) and sliced mushrooms and stirred that through. 20 mins before serving I added frozen mashed potato and stirred that though to thicken.

Absolutely filling! Will make again

Yum. This is super easy.
Certainly sweet and saucy. I did thicken and left lid of at last half hour or so.

We had this for dinner tonight (second time) and it was lovely, everyone enjoyed it.
Last time I left the sausages whole for serving but this time I cut them up into bit size pieces and the sauce was able to get right through them, everyone seemed to prefer them cut up.

I am going to try this, but with sweet orange marmelade, because I have some I’m just not eating. I’ll have to post again when I see how it turns out.

This was a dish winner with a fussy partner and 4 year old. I swapped the apricot jam for strawberry as that was all I had. It still turned out nice, sweet but we like sweet sauces.

This would have been a really yummy dish if I hadn’t of used Chipolato sausages it altered the flavour. Will try it again though

I made this recently and loved it… however I used chipolatas and I used cherry brandy jam. delish!

I really enjoyed this. The sauce was lovely. My sauce stayed quite runny even with using a tea towel for the last two hours, I didn’t want to use cornflour. It was still very tasty and hubby and Miss 10 also enjoyed. I served it with roast potatoes, corn on the cob and baby peas. I can’t wait to have this one again!

9hrs would usually be too long unless your slow cooker cooks particularly low/slow? The other thing you could do to counteract is to be sure to keep the cooker fuller (so maybe a double batch?) but in general that’s a really long time for sausages and it might dry out

Can this be done for 9 hours while at work?

Very tasty and simple. Will try with diced beef in the future. In saying that sausages is a cheap and tasty meal, I guarantee I will cook again 😁
We ate with pasta and broccoli, 2 kids aged 6 and 8 loved it.

Another awesome and super easy recipe from Paulene. Family all rated it 10/10 – even the fussy one 😉
Not too sweet, just perfect. On the regular list now.
