Chutney Chicken Curry - Easy 4 Ingredients!
A fruity, mild sweet curry pulled chicken 🙂 And just 4 ingredients so SUPER EASY SLOW COOKING! Enjoy this one with the whole family xx
- 1kg chicken thigh fillets (raw and whole)
- 2 tsp curry powder (see notes) - I use Keen's brand
- 1 diced onion
- 1 x 320g small jar of fruit chutney
- Add chicken to slow cooker and top with onion
- Sprinkle over curry powder (see notes)
- Spoon over chutney and stir around to combine all ingredients
- Cook on low for 5hrs
- Shred to serve
- Recipe will appear to have a lot of liquid at the end but once you shred chicken well into that liquid it absorbs it
- This is a mild curry. If cooking for little ones they may prefer only 1tsp of curry powder for less curry taste

Is that a teaspoon or tablespoon of curry?
tsp is teaspoon
My family loved this meal! I wasn’t sure if they would all like it but it was a big hit!
Really enjoyed this. Will add more curry powder though as the chutney I used overpowered it.
I had this tonight and it was so good!!!!
Delicious and easy. Will definitely make again.
Very nice, served 3 adults with 2 extra servings in freezer for lunches. Served with rice, cheese and sour cream in stand and stuff tacos. YUMMO will cook again
It was easy and delicious!!!
I love this recipe, it has now become by go to Sunday dinner. I always make too much so I have left overs for lunch the next day. 🙂 So easy to make and very tasty.
To make this hotter, could i just add extra curry powder? or would you suggest chilli flakes ?
Yes I’d add extra curry powder if you prefer hotter 🙂
Made this tonight. Definitely would add more curry. Was very yummy
I did add extra keens curry powder, but I’d still call it a sweet curry.
I will definitely make this again, again and again
Does this freeze well?
Yes it can freeze 🙂
Nice, Made this tonight with the tomato and fruit chutney recipe from this website.
My 6 year old even likes it.

Love the simplicity of this recipe. Used 1kg chicken breast and larger size jar of Rosella brand chutney.

Was a hit with all the family. Had it on fresh bread rolls and coleslaw.
Sweet and delicious! I doubled the curry powder and used a large jar of fruit chutney. Served with fried rice.
This is so delicious and easy to make! I added peas so it was 5 ingredients instead of 4 😁
Definitely making this again!
This was really good! (And really easy too!)
The only thing that I did different was that I used 1.4kg chicken breast and a 525g of chutney.
I’m definitely going to be doing this one again!
This was tonight’s dinner.
I stepped it up a little. I had a half tin of diced peachesleft over from another dish
Also added two teaspoons sweet chilli sauce.
Family of three. Always really difficult to find something we all love as we have very different tastes. We all absolutely loved this, but I added extra curry and it was a little too hot for my hubby, so I’ll stick to your quantity next time and it should be perfect. Thanks. First of many recipes that I’ll be trying.
This is easy and tasty next time I will add more chutney and curry
This is one of my go to recipes.
Simple & only 4 ingredients.
I had 1.5kg of thigh so I added more chutney. Served with steamed rice!
