  • 1kg Chicken (I used breast)
  • 3 rashers bacon diced
  • 250g Mushrooms sliced
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 2 carrots diced
  • 2 sticks celery diced
  • 3/4 cup chicken stock
  • 3/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 30g butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste


  • Melt butter and olive oil and brown chicken then remove from pan
  • Saute bacon, onion, garlic and mushrooms for 2 minutes
  • Add rest of the vegetables and cook for 3 minutes
  • Add flour and stir in
  • Add liquids and tomato paste and place everything in slow cooker
  • Cook on low for 5 hours
  • I used a multi cooker for this which made browning easier. Enjoy

  2. Brilliant!!!!! Make a lot of Chicken dishes and for a one with white wine it is wonderful making it again this week .

  3. I just did this tonight for the first time. Absolutely lovely. Went down a storm with my husband and daughter. This is going on my recipe list. Lovely
