Bananas in Caramel Sauce

4 bananas

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp apple juice

50g butter


1Peel bananas and slice lenghtways

2Line slow cooker with baking paper and lay bananas slice side down flat along base of slow cooker

3Melt butter in microwave

4Add butter, juice and brown sugar to bowl and stir to combine well

5Pour over bananas

6Place tea-towel under lid and cover and cook on HIGH for 40mins approx

7Time may vary in slow cookers so cook until syrup becomes thicker and bananas are cooked to softened

8Lovely served with creamy vanilla ice-cream to balance the sweet of the caramel
