Bananas in Caramel Sauce
Serving: 4
Ingredients
- 4 bananas
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp apple juice
- 50g butter
Instructions
- Peel bananas and slice lenghtways
- Line slow cooker with baking paper and lay bananas slice side down flat along base of slow cooker
- Melt butter in microwave
- Add butter, juice and brown sugar to bowl and stir to combine well
- Pour over bananas
- Place tea-towel under lid and cover and cook on HIGH for 40mins approx
- Time may vary in slow cookers so cook until syrup becomes thicker and bananas are cooked to softened
- Lovely served with creamy vanilla ice-cream to balance the sweet of the caramel
