Ingredients

One whole medium size chicken (1.7kg)

3 cloves fresh crushed garlic

1 tablespoon Vegemite

2 tablespoons butter

Directions

1Place chicken BREAST DOWN in your cooker.

2Combine softened butter and Vegemite with garlic and spread/baste over chicken.

3Replace lid and cook on LOW for 6 hours.

4No need to stir, moisten or anything.

5Serve with fresh vegetables of all colours.

Such a quick and easy recipe to prepare before rushing off to work. My teenage children loved it. I have made it twice and is a family favourite.

Finally got a chance to try this intriguing recipe. Super easy and followed the recipe (no changes). The house smelt yum (but weird at the same time). I didn’t use the juices for gravy as it was a little overpowering with vegemite (plus I wasn’t sure how to do it). We LOVED the flavour of the chicken and it was moist and very delicious with a mild vegemite taste. Would definitely try again.

Made this juicy chicken it was so yummy mouth watering and very morish the gravy was beautiful served it with mash potato and carrots and parsnip mashed will defiantly do it again
