Cheesy Bacon Baguette
Serving: 10
Ingredients
- 1 x baguette french bread stick (approx 30cm)
- Butter
- 100g diced bacon
- 1 cup grated tasty cheese
- 2 tbsp mild American mustard
- 2 tbsp fresh chives diced
Instructions
- Slice baguette into slices approx 3cm wide (similar to a garlic bread loaf would be sliced) - DON'T slice all the way through the bread stick to the bottom
- Butter inside each slice of the baguette
- Brown bacon pieces in fry pan and add them to a bowl
- Add remaining ingredients to the bowl with the bacon and stir to combine
- Spoon mixture into each slice of the baguette
- Wrap baguette in alfoil and seal
- Place in slow cooker and cook on HIGH for approximately 1hr or until cheese all melted
- Serve immediately - or prepare ahead of time and cook just in time to serve for a great party food!

I didn’t have mild mustard so that was a bit over powering next time I will use a mild mustard
