  • 2 bananas approx sliced up
  • 8oz SR flour
  • 8oz caster sugar
  • 8oz margarine or butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1tsp caramel flavouring
  • Topping
  • 1 cup of packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 cups of very hot or boiling water


  • Grease slow cooker bowl
  • Slice up banana and place in base of slow cooker
  • Mix up the cake mix (caster sugar, sr flour, margarine and eggs) beat well.
  • Add the caramel flavouring and mix in well
  • Pour evenly over the bananas
  • Mix the brown sugar and boiling water until smooth
  • Pour over the cake mixture gently (some may rise a little)
  • Cook in sc for 2hrs approx with tea towel under lid, tied up to handle.
