Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 6 hours
Total Time 6 hours 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 10 thick beef sausages (1 kg)
  • 2 small onions, sliced
  • 2 cups frozen veggies (peas, corn & carrots preferably)
  • 1 tin cream of chicken soup
  • 1.5 cups beef stock liquid
  • 1 tbsp gravy powder (dry) I used traditional gravy powder
  • 1 tsp vegeta
  • 3 tsp curry powder
  • 3 tsp corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp crushed garlic

Instructions

  • Place sausages in slow cooker and cover with chopped onion.
  • In a jug mix stock liquid and soup together with gravy powder, vegeta, curry powder and garlic.
  • Make a cornflour slurry and add to stock mixture and mix well.
  • Poor over sausages and cook on low for 6 hrs
  • Add 1 cup frozen veggies I hour before serving (I also chopped my snags into bite sized pieces at this stage)
  • Serve with rice or mash.

Notes

  • The addition of soup was a late addition to this dish when I first experimented as I realised I wanted more of a sauce. Now I make it like this all the time.

I got confused and added tomato soup before I realised that it was a different recipe that I’d looked at that asked for tomato soup… but it came out delicious! I’m sure the original recipe is just as delicious but I will continue adding tomato soup in the future. Yum!

I’d say you could match what you like… eg beef if your sausages are beef, or go standard gourmet mix, or vegetable version 🙂

  3. Made this today with pork sausages. Didn’t add vegeta as I can’t get it. Was really nice, would make it again.

  4. Love this recipe, we added the can of soup as stated in the notes . Very easy to make and just enough curry powder! This is a winner , very delicious indeed! ?

  5. Lovely recipe.

I did make a couple of changes which wouldn’t have made much difference to the flavour.
I had a tin of Campbell’s Manu’s Classic French Onion Soup, so I used that, and omitted the onions, but that was all.

    This will be a keeper…

    Made this tonight for dinner.
So delicious, hubby and I loved it. 😊
I chopped raw sausages before putting them in my slow cooker. I also added steamed sweet potato and a tin of coconut milk.
Served on a bed of rice.
Definitely a winner in our house 🥰

  11. Yum.
    Easy sausage meal.

    Served with jasmine rice.
(I left the Vegeta out as I didn’t have any.)

This is so easy and yummy 😋 Made it as written except for reducing the curry powder to 1tsp and added extra veggies (celery, carrots, cauliflower and zucchini) at different times throughout the 6 hours to make a one pot dinner. Definitely make again. Thank you for a fabulous recipe.
