This was beautiful!!! My partner loved it betta than curried sausages n said he could eat these every night lol ? they were sooooo tasty n will definitely be on the menu more often ??
Was a hit in our house. Miss 9 and miss 6 loved it and hubby cleaned his plate ? definitely making it again. Thanks
This was a big hit in our house with young and old. They scored it 9/10-praise indeed! Will definitely be making it again.
This was a big hit in our house with both young and old. They scored it 9/10-praise indeed. Will definitely be making it again.
I had to be a little inventive as we don’t like bbq sauce, so simply substituted it with some home-made chili sauce instead.
Thoroughly enjoyed the flavours together, & even though it wasn’t the original recipe – it certainly helped me find another dish I liked
Thank you for sharing your recipe 🙂
The smell of the slow cooked sausages had been driving me barmy all afternoon – even other-half said “something smells gorgeous” when he came in the back door. All enjoyed it, and will have again. I served it with Low Carb Cauliflower Mash and Mixed Veggies. Next time I will try with Mashed Potatoes.
Smelled yummy while cooking, added a large”dollop” of chilli sauce and with half an hour to go stirred through some cooked corn and peas, served over a large “zapped” spud.
I have only done sausages once before in my slow cooker, when I squeezed Italian sausages to make meatballs. I did this recipe yesterday……….so good!! I also added a bag of Asian vegetables.
Would this be ok to go with rice? ( 4 year old loves rice) And if I add frozen peas and corn to it ,at what point would I put them in? Thanks heaps looking forward to trying it out.
I’m sure it would serve lovely with rice
To add small veg like peas and corn I’d add them around 30-45mins prior to serving
Looooooooooved this. So quick and easy. I didn’t have the time to cook it on low so I just did it on high for half the time and added some mixed vegetables towards the end. Definitely gonna be a regular thing in my house.
I made this tonight for tea but using Aldi sausages and it was so much nicer than using the Coles sausages it’s a huge hit
Cooked this for thr first time, one word – sensational & my fussy child ate it!
This worked really well. I halved everything as I only had 8 sausages. Just added a splash more water to thin sauce a little. Great taste!!
I made this today was delicious i also added potatoe & sweet potatoes, 1 beef cube and a little less water and 2 handfuls of macoroni which i added in the last 30 mins
Would this work ok with pre-cooked sausages? Looks tasty!
I’d use raw sausages for best results 🙂
Very tasty. Instead of Worcestershire sauce as i didn’t have used teriyaki sauce. Tasted great also added sweet potato. Wow will have this as a weekly meal
Making this tomorrow
Wats good to put it with mash or rice or add it
I’d serve with mash and veg 🙂
First time cooking it and it was a hit in my house i have 5 fussy boys and a husband they couldnt get enough of it and asked are you going to cook it more often. i put potatoes in also some little meatballs as well and doubled the sauce mixture to make it real saucy as we like our sauce thankyou for a great recipe
spent 6 hours making this, i was so excited and when i finally tasted it once everything was cooked, it was horrible
the Worcester sauce is immensely over powering the entire dish tastes like vinegar, wasted many ingredients
i know there is always a weirdo on each recipe saying its horrible and not once has it ever been me but today it is
i warn you all be careful with the Worcester sauce, i think the poster meant teaspoons not tablespoons because otherwise the dish is hard to eat and i followed this recipe to the letter
No I definitely mean tablespoons. As you can see everyone else liked it as is so I wouldn’t change anything about the recipe, but I’d definitely encourage you to adjust it to your own tastes by all means 🙂
I followed this recipe exactly and we loved it. Found it just a bit tarty 4 my lil ones so added 1 tspn of brown sugar. Easiest tastiest meal served on mash potato thankyou so much 4 this recipe x
Do you cut the sausages or put in whole and cut once cooked? Also should the water mixture cover the sausages entirely?
You could do cut or whole it won’t matter 🙂 No they don’t have to be fully submerged
My kids could Truly not get enough of this
Definitely will be a favourite
If you halve the recipe do you halve the cooking time or cook the same amount??
Thank you
5-6hrs should be heaps for half 🙂
I absolutely luuuurv this sausage dish ? it was deliciously saucy n went really well with mashed potato n pumpkin mixed in with the sauce, ‘twas sooo yummy ?
Thank you Paulene for sharing your delicious recipe with us ?????
made this tonight and everyone loves it. They have requested this to be on our regular meal planner. Kids went back for more which never happens!
Just wondering if there is anything else we could substitute the French onion soup mix for as it’s not a great favourite in our house ?
Have you tried making your own Chloe? Like HERE
You might find you like it more than the commercially made one?
You could also halve it in the recipe to make it less strong
Loved it! Quick, easy and tasty.
served with potato gratin and mixed veg
So simple & so tasty! I halved the recipe & it turned out great. A big hit with my husband, my 8 year old & 4 year old.
Thinking of giving this sauce recipe base would with rissoles or meatballs?
This would be great Michelle with rissoles or meatballs too I believe 🙂
Let us know if you give it a go!
Made this for the 1st time tonight hubby and I had mouth surgery so we are on soft food diet this was perfect and yummy served with mash very yum
Loved the sauce! I had 12 sausages I snipped them into bite size pieces with scissors whilst raw. Followed recipe except added one diced onion instead of two. Added 2tsp cornflour with water (slurry) at end to thicken. cooked on low 6hr.
This one is a regular in our house, so yummy! Followed the recipe exactly
