any chance of seeing this recipe with proper weights? This one cup thing is not accurate. How do I know whether my cups contain the same as your cups do? How much evaporated milk does a carton contain in millilitres? I’ve only ever seen tins of evaporated milk.
It’s like trying to do a scientific experiment and the book you are reading from mentions a ‘bit’ of one chemical, a ‘bigger bit’ of another, and a ‘splash’ of something else.
The recipe looks interesting but not with the vague measurements for the ingredients

  2. Love love love this recipe. Next time I will try it with different flavour – you could use anything you wanted in it

  4. Like Zoe, I have only seen tins of evaporated milk — so, how many mls are in a carton please ?

After looking at the carton in the picture a quick google search tells me that is Carnation Light Cooking Cream and it is 300ml

When you go to cooking classes they say if the recipe uses a cup measurement, to always use exactly the same cup for each ingredient, then the proportions will be accurate. Hope this helps Pam Thompson?

Do you line your slow cooker with baking paper? Also can you cook in a conventional oven?

Yes line it with baking paper as that makes it super easy to just lift out by the paper at the end 🙂

    Quick, Easy, Tasty.
I cooked it 4 hours on high. It was so light & fluffy.
    Delicious.
