Quick 5 Minute Scone

Arriving home late with hungry teenagers. Two ingredients and five minutes had a simple and easy dessert/snack on cooking.

Ingredients
 

  • 200g SR Flour
  • 200mls Cream

Optional fillings--

  • Cheese
  • Chocolate chips
  • Fruit 
  • Honey
  • Jam

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour and cream together.
  • Tip dough out onto baking paper.
  • Shape into a rectangle, approx 1cm thick.
  • If using a filling sprinkle/spread this over the dough.
  • Fold in half.
  • Using a sharp knife score dough to make 8 scones.
  • Place in slow cooker with a tea towel under the lid and cook on high for approx 45mins-1hr (Breville Ikon 7L slow cooker)

NOTE:--

  • I used Gluten free flour and Lactose free cream
  • Depending on the type of flour used you may need 25-50mls extra cream

  1. Super easy and yum! I made them with thickened cream as an ingredient and jam in the middle. Kids loved them.
