Easy Meatballs and Spaghetti Sauce

An easy slow cooked meatballs recipe using ready made meatballs (or you can use home made if your prefer)

Ingredients
 

  • 1pkt pre made meatballs (I use a pork and beef combo)
  • 1 tin of tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1/2 diced onion
  • 3 Cloves Garlic - crushed
  • Salt, pepper
  • Mixed herbs
  • bay leaf
  • teaspoon of sugar

Instructions
 

  • Seal off meatballs in pan and transfer to slow cooker
  • Add onions, garlic, tomatoes, beef stock, sugar, mixed herbs, bay leaf, salt a pepper in a bowl or jug mix to combine and pour into slow cooker
  • Cook on low for 3/4 hours, depending on the slow cooker I use can be ready between 3 to 4 hours
  • Serve with your choice of pasta

  1. What size of a “tin” of tomatoes? We have cans that are around 14 oz and others that are large…28-32 oz

  2. I made this tonight i wouldn’t normally do it slow cooker or use bacon but as i wasn’t home all afternoon i thought why not….otherwise we are take away rubbish and i cant afford it right now being school holidays. Was delicious thanks for inspiration ?

  3. Omg this was so good! Never again will I do meatballs just on the stove! Next time I will also double the number of meatballs!

  4. I tried this tonight and it was so watery. After 4 1/2 hrs I had to serve it, the fkavours were nice but it was just clear water with a tinge of red. So dissapointed I followed the recipe but its way to much liquad.

    Made this tonight. It was a bib watery but i put in a desert spoon of the gravy powder & it turned out amazing. Put it on high for a while & then back to low. The sauce was yummy. Will make it again ??
