Yum! I only added half the amount of cream cheese as we don’t like a full on rich cheesy flavour. I also added mixed frozen vegetables and it was a big hit with the whole family. Will definitely be making this one again!
I didn’t use cream cheese as it says Cream for Cooking so I just used the tub of Carnation Cooking Cream. Hopefully will be as nice and shouldn’t be a cheesy taste I think then
very tasty but added fresh asparagus with the broccoli, will make this again.
That’s awesome – thanks so much for leaving your feedback Janet 🙂 🙂
This is a family favourite here. I swap the onion for leek (preference) and skip the mushrooms as my family don’t like them. I’ve used both cooking cream and Philadelphia cream for cooking (which really doesn’t have much of a cheese flavour) and it’s come out great both ways. I have also swapped the sundried tomato (when I didn’t have any) with a heaped spoonful of sundried tomato pesto and it was delicious.
That’s awesome – thanks so much Amy for leaving your feedback it’s so appreciated!! 🙂
This was super tasty,I omitted the bacon, just preference, and needed to thicken with cornflour. the chicken was a bit dry may cook just 4.5hrs next time its possible my little slow cooker is running a bit too hot on low.
Thanks for sharing your great feedback Kath 🙂
