cheese filled meatball parmigiana

Ingredients
 

  • For the meatballs:
  • 1 kg mince
  • A handful of chopped parsley ,oregano and basil
  • 8 slices of salami sliced thin
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper
  • 6 slices of cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup of bread crumbs
  • Mix together all the ingredients and tear of a small piece of cheese and put it into each meatball
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 x 800gm tin of heinz tomato soup
  • 1 x 400gm tin of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • I grated carrot
  • 1 diced onion
  • 4 rashes of diced bacon

Instructions
 

  • Mix together all the ingredients and tear off a small piece of cheese and put it into each meatball
  • Directions
  • Fry off onion ,garlic , bacon and carrot and add to the s/c ,cook 1 meatball and taste if it needs more seasoning ,add all ingredients to s/c on high for 2 hours ,then add tea towel under the lid and cook on low for 2 hours

    Wow!!!! This recipe is amazing!!!! So easy and yet so delicious. Even my incredibly fussy granddaughter ate two meatballs. This is definitely going on rotation in our house!

    Best meatball recipe! I halved the amount of mince and tomato soup and added a handful of mushrooms to the sauce. I also topped the dish off with mozzarella cheese. Absolutely delicious. I cooked on low for 4 hours and forgot the tea towel but it still turned out perfect. Thanks for the fabulous recipe!
