Bourbon and Coke pulled pork

Delicious flavour packed option for your next slow cooked pulled pork

Ingredients
 

  • 1 rolled pork shoulder
  • 1 bottle of McCormicks Bourbon BBQ grill sauce or any other good BBQ sauce.
  • 2 tbs garlic powder
  • 2 tbs onion power
  • 1 ltr of coke

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients together and poor over pork.
  • Cook on slow for 8 hrs with lid on.
  • Remove pork and break pork up/pull apart.
  • Spoon 4 or 5 spoonfuls of liquid from SC into pork and mix.
  • Serve with extra gravy and coleslaw.

  1. Amazing!!! left out the onion and used crushed garlic i stead but was a huge hit for everyone – fed 9 people some with seconds.

    I used this base recipe tonight, however I made it with 800g diced pork, 1/4 bottle of sweet baby rays rib sauce and 2 cans of coke with 2 tbsp minced garlic. Then I used cornflour to thicken the sauce rather than serving with gravy. It came out so tender and my partner who isn’t a fan of pork actually loved it. I served it with potato bake and veggies.

Cooked a pork shoulder with a can of coke and a cup of Stubbs hickory bourbon bbq sauce cooked on low for 8hrs then used 1/2 a cup of liquid and the rest of the bottle of sauce once shredded to mix in put it back in slow cooker for 20mins to warm up and served it on buns with coleslaw and it was amazing glad I did a big pork shoulder as I know have enough to have it 4 more times in my freezer 💕
