Bananas in Caramel Sauce

Ingredients
 

  • 4 bananas
  • - 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple juice
  • 50g Butter

Instructions
 

  • Peel bananas and slice lenghtways
  • Line slow cooker with baking paper and lay bananas slice side down flat along base of slow cooker
  • Melt butter in microwave
  • Add butter, juice and brown sugar to bowl and stir to combine well
  • Pour over bananas
  • Place tea-towel under lid and cover and cook on HIGH for 40mins approx
  • Time may vary in slow cookers so cook until syrup becomes thicker and bananas are cooked to softened
  • Lovely served with creamy vanilla ice-cream to balance the sweet of the caramel
