Asian Greens
Beautiful vibrant Asian Greens right from your slow cooker 🙂
Serving: 5
Ingredients
- 1 bunch buk choy
- 1 bunch baby pak choy
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp soy sauce (salt reduced)
Instructions
- Combine water, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and soy sauce and add to slow cooker
- Trim tough ends from greens, thus separating the leaves as you do so
- Stand leaves up in slow cooker with tough ends down towards base
- Replace lid and cook on HIGH for 1hr 10 mins
- Greens will wilt as they cook so you'll soon have plenty of room in cooker
- If you can't stand up just lay in cooker
- Stir greens through the liquids well to coat (I even stirred half way if you are around to do so)
- Drain then serve immediately 🙂

I’m going to try this tonight with boi Chou, zucchini and capsicum
Easy, I used bok choy and broccolini in my 1.5ltr. Veg was too tall but I twisted it around and pushed lid on. Once veg started to wilt everything fitted in. Colour of veg goes pale but still has nice crunch like stir fry.
Love the addition of broccolini!
