  1. Cooked these last night. Halved recipe because there was only 2 of us. Sauce was a little runny but otherwise very good. Husband wants it again so it’s now on my meal planner. Served with salad as a main dish.

Absolutely delicious. The fellas really loved this dish. Thanks once again! Love this group and all the time and effort you put into it is very much appreciated.

  3. Please excuse a silly question from a male but, I presume this is ALL done in the slow cooker. That when you say “heat on high”, you mean “high” on the slow cooker.

  4. Sounds delish and can’t wait to try, but I’m not sure if all steps are done in the crockpot? Do you do butter & garlic on stovetop????

  5. awesome! I also altered recipe with gourmet garden in a tube herbs, thai seasoning, coriander and lemongrass. A squeeze of each, and used coconut milk instead of cream. Makes a beautiful subtle prawn curry! You could also use chicken. Thank you for the idea!!!

  6. Didn’t thicken up enough for me but holy wow! Was amazing! Didn’t add the mustard powder because I’m not a fan but 100% fall apart tender Prawns. Served with pasta. Would do again.

  7. The easiest and best garlic prawns I’ve eaten. Wanted to cook them in a hurry one night so cooked the sauce in a frypanand added the prawns. Turned out really well..

  8. Absolutely fabulous recipe – I substituted 300g of Squid rings for the prawns and it was heavenly on top of steak. ??????????

  9. Amazing dish! I used lactose free cream as one of my children is intolerant. The cream held together well. Two family members had the steak with it, and three family members had it with rice. Both were judged to be delicious, so it will be on our list of noms to have in the future.

  10. Wow so easy and delicious. I used 500g frozen raw prawns instead of 1kg, lovely amount of sauce left for tomorrow night’s dinner. The prawns were so tender. This we will definitely go onto the fave list ?

This has been on our to try list since it was first posted.
Finally tonight we did and it was amazing, so easy and before we knew it we had a lovely thick garlic sauce that just needed prawns to be added.
    Simple but oh so delicious!

Will definitely be doing again and may even double the sauce and try adding some squid rings as well next time.

  12. It was delicious! Had so much sauce spare I added rice into the left over sauce I also had not mustard powder so I used Dijon mustard it was divine thank you

  13. I made this for dinner tonight for my husband and I, it was so so yummy and super easy (apart from peeling and deveining the kilo of prawns-lol). I added parsley through the sauce.

  14. Hi Paulene, what cream do you use for this recipe? – in the UK, we have double cream, single cream, whipping cream

    Thanks
    Linda

  15. We’ve now done this several times and love it!! Following Marie Norris’s lead last night I tried this with squid rings, which I gave 10 minutes of cooking time. Excellent, the prawns remain my and my wife’s favorite but the calamari was nice to. The common denominator is the amazing creamy garlic sauce that this recipe produces. My ‘favorite find’ of 2019 closely followed by Mee Goreng

  16. OMG it is yummm ? made it last night for dinner – better than any restaurant I’ve ever had.
*we did use “dollop” cream as that’s all that was available at our local supermarket – it did split a little, but the chef (sometimes it’s handy being married to one) jumped in and saved it for me!

  17. Made these for tea last night and they were amazing. I used the garlic prawns from the Coles deli. I still used garlic and butter. I added extra flour and cream as I used alot of prawns. I had mine on for an hour all up. Was quick and easy. Will be adding it to my weekly meal plan.

  18. One very happy ex-professional fishermen hubby here!
Recipe was so simple & very well received (I don’t eat prawns ?)

  19. Absolutely loved this. I only used 250g prawns for the two of us and added some Perino brand (very sweet from coles) cherry tomatoes and parsley in the last 10 minutes. Served it with pasta.

  20. This recipe is amazing! Had the prawns as a very decadent and delicious steak topper! Will never make them any other way again! Thank you! ??

  21. These are a regular in our house because they always turn out perfect every time. Easy to follow instructions that are a beautiful accompaniment as a steak topper. Highly recommend ?

  22. So good and tasty and easy mmm. We added mushrooms as we enjoy them and goes with th steak. Partner better get home or I’ll eat his lol.

  23. We tried this recipe and loved it. We used lactose free items and it turned out perfectly. My partner said it would have been better with something on the side as i only made it like this and didnt do any side dishes.

Oh my gosh, this sauce is to die for !! I made Surf and Turf for my husbands 50th birthday and topped the steak with Creamy Garlic Prawns. My family loved it !!

This was absolutely scrumptious. I wish that I would have made this along time ago but at least I have now. Husband loved it and gave praise. The one thing I changed was substituting the flour for Xanthan gum (keto) Will definitely be having this again

  26. This one is absolutely delicious and a quick easy recipe when you are wanting a little bit of fancy for dinner as a change.

    This was amazing!!

The prawns were absolutely to-die-for, so tender and the sauce is delicious. I did need to add more flour as after 40 minutes the sauce was still really thin. I will definitely make this again.

Simon Simon Simon!!!! Wow are you a very clever man. Restaurant quality creamy garlic prawns in a Slow cooker. I love creamy garlic prawns so thought I would give this a go for Good Friday dinner. I got a little impatient heating butter/garlic in SC after about 10mins so put in frypan. Followed rest of recipe in pan then converted to SC. Amazing!!! Will persevere next time. Sauce was a little runny so added some cornflour to thicken up then put prawns in. Cooked in my Sunbeam 5.5L traditional SC

I made this tonight for the first time, I halved the recipe and seared some nice beef steaks and turned it into a surf and turf.
Once the steaks were seared nicely I upended the prawns and sauce from the slow cooker into the searing pan I used for the steaks and gave them about 30 seconds in there before placing prawns and sauce onto the steaks, it was delicious!!

  31. This was the most delicious thing I have made in a long time. My 12 year old daughter would live off this if she could! Now when I say what should we do for dinner, she replies with “garlic prawns” !

Was a little hesitant to cook seafood in a slow cooker, but it didn’t disappoint. Sauce was a tiny runny (prob chef error somehow) but was yummy. Had as a steak topper so halved recipe. Coukd easily eat with rice as a main.

very nice, I added around 300 grams of thinly sliced chicken and around a cup of sliced mushroom. I started the cooking time an hour earlier on high and added chicken and mushrooms at the start. I served with pasta. I did need to thicken sauce slightly with corn flour

The best garlic prawns I have eaten ever!
    So delicious. So easy.
This recipe will be on rotation in our household. 10/10!!!

Insanely good. I was worried how they would cook in a slow cooker but they change color and they are nice and crunchy when cooked and not soggy like I thought they might be.
I added a little extra garlic and I think next time I might add a little chilli flakes.
I’d also serve with maybe steamed broccoli and bokchoy to help break it up.
So insanely good though. Reheated really well also.

  36. I made this tonight and it was beautiful. The sauce was tasty and the prawns were perfect. I doubled the flour after reading the comments and would probably use a bit more next time. I used normal cream and it was fine. Served it on rice and had mixed steamed vegies as well.

This dish is to die for, Oh my gosh absolutely YummmmmmmmO, although I was a little disappointed that the Sauce didn’t thicken as much as I would have liked. will definitely make again.

I’d read the previous comments about the sauce being a bit runny and not thickening up. So instead of adding one cup of chicken stock I whisked a tablespoon of chicken stock powder and a quarter cup of white wine into the cream. Omitting the excess liquid made the sauce nice and creamy. I served it with steamed rice. Will definitely make this recipe again.

  39. Sorry for the silly question here….. but if using frozen prawns, do I need to thaw them out first before adding?

  40. I did This Garlic Prawns Last Week forgot to Photo I changed the Chicken stock to Vege stock OMG Absolutely Delicious Will Bedoing Again VERY Soon Yummo !!
