Quite nice. The sauce needs thickening. I served with rice. Will make again 🙂
Absolutely lovely, full of flavour, chicken dried out a little as i diced the meat will only cook for four hours instead of six next time
I cooked this 2nite n was quite impressed with how it tasted, was lovely!!! I shredded the chicken n it soaked up all the sauce, very tasty!!! I served it with steamed vegies 😛
Will definitely cook this again 🙂
Made this tonight for dinner with diced chicken….was super delicious
Really enjoyed. Lovely flavour. Used Maryland pieces. Would have again.
made this tonight sensational, will be a regular at our dinner table
Quite nice flavours. I had it with rice and steamed veg. Hubby loved it!
Oh wow! This was fantastic. I placed a tea towel under the lid through half of the cooking to keep the sauce thick. Hubby and son said to cook this again. Definitely will!
Quite nice, it does need to be thicker. Nothing special but good for a midweek meal
Made this last night. Had to thicken the sauce a lot but it was very yum! Will be having leftovers tonight for tea too! I served with creamy mash and steamed veggies. I also added a teaspoon of chilli flakes as I like chilli ? Will make again for sure!
Didn’t have bacon or cream of chicken soup however I used 2 creamy chicken n corn Cuppa soup sachets with 1/2 cup of cream and 1 cup of boiling water and threw in some mixed vegies with roughly a tspn of corrianda and a tspn of cumin and 1 n 1/2 heaped tspn of basil with the honey, garlic and mustard. Its the first slow cooker dish I’ve made and definitely left me with a great impression even though I
improvised a couple of ingredients.
Great work Troy!!
Made this tonight and it was amazing! Clean plates all around a request for it to be a regular meal! Thanks Pauline
Wow oh wow! This is amazing! I added some green beans while thickening sauce with the lid off and served with rice. My partner said while eating that he is buying a freezer so next time I can make triple this and save some! Plates were licked clean and my older kids all sat watching the baby eat and waiting to eat any of her leftovers! This will be a regular here, my 10 year old said she would be happy having this every night.
A regular dish at our house, have tried it with cream of mushroom soup and different types of mustard, always turns out beautifully
very nice and family loved it .will be a keeper.
Wow this was a fantastic dish, sauce quite thin so I used some cornflour to thicken it.
My husband loved it and so did I . This recipe is a keeper, one to pass on to the rest of the family. Thank you
what a fabulous meal..ohh I served mine with mashed potato and steamed carrots.
Delicious! Everyone enjoyed this. Will definitely make again.
Could you lightly flour the chicken before you put it in the SC to thicken the sauce? And maybe use a tea towel?
I think you could yes 🙂
Really nice, I thickened the sauce which was no problem! Definitely will be a regular at our house!
Amazing! One of my absolute favourites! After reading the comments I added a couple of tablespoons of plain flour to my sauce. Needed a good stir but was perfect! So yummy!
I’m going to cook this tonight, I have a few questions though – can I cook it on high for 3 hours instead of 6 hours on low? Can I put the chicken thigh pieces in whole? To thicken the sauce, will the tea towel trick work halfway through cooking? TIA
Hi, Sorry I’ve only just got to your comment now 🙂 Low is ideal but you could hopefully push it through in the high time faster, though it may dry out a little more. Yes you can add the thigh pieces whole. Yep you can thicken with tea towel if you will be home with it or like THIS
A Great Dish. Wonderful taste and a lot of yums at the table.. I had to thicken a lot to suit us though.
Well done again.
This is super tasty and I served it with taglatelle. The sauce was very thin and runny. Next time I will thicken with flour. Definitely cooking this again
I used cut up chicken thighs as I was late putting it on. Put in on high for first hour and a half then back to low. Was ready in a little over 4 hrs. Served on a bed of mash with steamed veg. A winner in this house. I used the last of my seeded mustard and made up the difference with Dijon. Such an easy, tasty dish.
This is one of our favourite meals! I cut the thighs in half (on low for 5 hours) and serve like that usually on rice with a green salad. ?
This is one of our favourite slow cooker meals! I cut the chicken thighs in half longways (on low for 5 hours) and serve like that, usually on rice with a green salad! Quick and easy to do and delicious! ?
Made this for the first time and it was a huge hit with the family.
Flavours are great and the chicken just falls apart.
Served with creamy mash and steamed veg
I will definitely be making this again
Hi Paulene
Would Dijon mustard be an ok substitute as I have run out of wholegrain mustard??
It has a bit more of that mustardy bite to it but sure I don’t see why you couldn’t 🙂
I’ve been cooking a similar meal for 40+ years but the addition of honey & mustard takes it to a new level – & it’s gorgeous. Will be on my ever increasing meal planner!
Wow, well worth trying, will definitely be doing again, I used chicken thighs and rolled in cornflour before putting in the slow cooker whole and used tea towel trick and I found I didn’t need to thicken at end of cooking, I also added extra bacon, served on a bed of rice and homemade bread rolls, enjoyed by all the family.
Made this today with Chicken Thigh Fillets, it was so easy to prepare.
I took the chicken out at the end and thickened the beautiful gravy on the stove with a little corn flour, then transferred it all back into the slow cooker to coat the chicken. So very tasty, even my husband enjoyed it and is looking forward to leftovers for his lunch at work tomorrow. We will definitely have it again.
I used skinless thigh cutlets, and doubled the sauce (because I love sauce !!!). Served with mashed potatoes, broccoli and carrots – another absolute winner ! YUMMMM!
