Ingredients
- 1 kg Beef (diced, casserole, steak, brisket)
- 1 Onion diced

- 40 gram packet of French Onion Soup Mix (dry, no water added)
- 1-2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Place beef in slow cooker bowl and top with diced onions.
- Combine all other ingredients and pour over.
- Cook on low for 5-6hrs depending on your chosen beef (use 6hrs for brisket or a solid roast beef, 5hrs for steaks or diced beef)
- *NOTE* This does NOT taste like mushroom. Even seasoned mushroom haters have been fed this without knowing and not one has detected the mushroom yet!

Absolutely delicious and a firm family favourite
Thanks so much for lovely feedback Linda 🙂
Hi Pauline, if I double the beef, do I double all the ingredients please? Thankyou
Hi Debbie, you most likely won’t need to double the sauce as it does make a fair bit. However if you want to, double everything except the french onion soup (or that get’s too salty if doubled) 🙂
Thankyou so much Pauline 💓
This recipe doesn’t disappoint, I used chuck steak and it turned out so tender.
How wonderful to hear! Thanks for sharing your feedback Carol 🙂
