240gramjar of hoisin sauce- I use Lee Kum Kee brand
Instructions
I use this recipe to meal prep a whole chicken into portions of cooked chicken. Alternatively it could of course also be served as a hot chicken meal with vegetables or salad!
Place whole chicken in slow cooker - breast side down
Pour over the hoisin
Cook on low for 6-7hrs or until no longer pink and juices run clear.
When I am shredding it I store it overnight in fridge. Easier to handle and shred the next day when cold :) I get 8 portioned bags of chicken meat from a medium-large whole chicken
