Ingredients
Mince - 2kg
Bacon - 500g, diced
Tomatoes - 2 large, diced
1 x 420g tin corn kernels, drained or 2 1/2 cups frozen corn
Mushrooms, sliced
Spinach, chopped (can use frozen)
Squash, diced
3 zucchini or patty pan squash
Mixed herbs - thyme, oregano, basil
Salt, pinch
Pepper, pinch
Golden syrup - 2-3 tablespoons
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and cook for approx. 6hrs low (Contempo 5.5L sc)
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice, or you could put mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes on top to make a shepherds or cottage pie.
It also makes a great pie filling.

Any other vegetables you want can be added - If I don't need to be FODMAP friendly then I add an onion and a handful of garlic cloves
Vegetables can easily be hidden by grating instead of dicing/slicing
I find cooking time very forgiving and have left for 10-11hrs without a problem
I feed 5 adults and 4 children with this amount of mince
I originally did this for approx 7.5hrs high in a Kambrook 6L sc
