Put onion,carrot and celery in slow cooker,season with salt and pepper.Fry bacon and set aside.
Put flour in bag and season chicken and add to flour.Dust off excess flour and fry in a little oil in pan.
Add browned chicken pieces to slow cooker and sprinkle bacon over the top.
Add garlic and tomato paste to fry pan and cook for 1 minutes.Add wine and bring to boil for 2 minutes,add chicken stock return to boil,pour over chicken.
Cook on low for 6 hours,
After 3 hours add mushrooms.
Thicken with a little cornflour for a thicker sauce.
