Brown the chicken pieces and put half the chicken in a single layer on the bottom of the slow cooker.
Sprinkle half of the chicken stock powder and the thyme over the top of the chicken. Season. Add half the sliced mushrooms and half the soup.
Repeat with remaining ingredients.
Put the wine in the frying pan you were cooking the chicken in and reduce by half. Add the the slow cooker.
Cook for about 8 hours on a low heat or 4 on a high heat, make sure to test and make sure the chicken is cooked through.. I used a 6.5 litre capacity slow cooker.
