Put all ingredients except mushroom into slow cooker. Put less garlic than you may need to avoid over flavouring to your taste. Garlic can be easily added later.
Slow cook on low for 4-6 hours.
In last hour add mushroom. At this time check if there is enough garlic to tour taste.
Serve with your choice of side, I used pasta.
Notes
Ensure prawns are adequately peeled and deveined.
Stirring is not vital but may help breakdown the cream cheese during cooking.
